Marlon James, author of the Booker Prize winning novel “A Brief History of Seven Killings,” says he’s going to seriously ramp up the nerd factor in his new book.
The author says his upcoming work titled “Black Leopard, Red Wolf” is an “African Game of Thrones” in an interview with Man of the World magazine.He says the forthcoming book will be the first installment of a fantasy series that he promises to deck out with “one hundred pages describing a village” and “a big appendix on magic techniques.” The inspiration, he says, came from him being fed up with arguing about whether there should be black characters in existing fantasy books.
