The beginning of the novel is a BAM kind of beginning. I was sucked in immediately, enthralled in Chloe's tragic introduction.
The whole novel was thought provoking and had me questioning life for a while after reading. Chloe and Jordy have this insane journey with so much about life and death and existing vs. living. It was a way more extreme journey than I had expected.
I was struck by the beauty of my own home, the country I live in. I never really thought of it as beautiful so much as...natural. That was a welcome shock.
The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the open ending. I didn't have this full sense of closure. And I didn't really see this true climax in the novel, either. I think of a climax as a mountain but in this novel we were just going over a bunch of hills, I guess.
But this was really good and I enjoyed it. A nice, short read that I enjoyed much more than I thought I would.
