Licence to fill shelves: London bookseller who helps make James Bond appear well-read --LIVER

Stephen Foster, whose books have appeared in numerous James Bond movies, has been commissioned to dream up the Queen's reading list for a new Netflix drama

A bookseller who has found often rare works for films such as The Danish Girl, Mr Holmes and the new James Bond movie Spectre could now be dreaming up the Queen’s reading list for a new Netflix drama.

Stephen Foster, 51, is the owner of Foster’s Bookshop in Chiswick, which has been in his family for 45 years.

He is in talks with Netflix to work on their original drama The Crown, about Queen Elizabeth II, directed by Stephen Daldry. The online company is reported to have spent £100 million on the series.

Mr Foster said that, although the series is still in the early stages of production, he has been researching Acts of Parliament referenced in the show to see if he can find appropriate texts.
