Title: Perfect Chemistry

Summary: When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created “perfect” life is about to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for—her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.
This is now one of my favourite books, it's really awesome -- it's kind of like a modern Romeo & Juliet type story, with less tragedy, a more bad ass Romeo, a cooler Juliet and it's more realistic. And for once it's a book that doesn't have one of those annoying endings that leaves you feeling like the story is incomplete and doesn't leave you with any "what if"'s or doubts in your mind about what happens to the characters.
Alex is awesome, and even though I don't speak Spanish and in his chapters (because it alternates between his POV and Brittany's) he says some random words in Spanish it's really hot... there's just something cute about the way there's bits of that language woven throughout his chapters and you don't even need to know what it says (although it's usually pretty easy to figure out, or he'll translate for Brittany's sake) for it to seem really sexy. And I love that his character is one of those bad boys who is actually a good guy.
I really liked Brittany's character too, I sort of expected her to be one of those annoying too-perfect characters but she really wasn't.
Anyway, I really liked the book.
